Our supper was delayed since we were in our backyard watching this helmetless guy climb down from the 100 foot tree, with the chainsaw stuck in a large branch. No helmet or goggles, as I mentioned in my previous post. I went to the side to take a picture, and a group of about 10 family and friends were there, laughing. Julie’s father assured me with, “He knows what he’s doing. He’s a good old boy from Kentucky.”
My husband and I finally set our minds against watching outside and ate and went into the basement to watch TV. An hour later, I came up to find a fire truck and ambulance in front of Julie’s house. My first thought was that the bon-fire they’d started at 6:30 tonight had gotten out of hand. Then I saw Julie’s husband with his arm around the wife of the Kentucky boy. The ambulance pulled away, and everyone was looking so sad that I didn’t want to intrude. I saw my other next door neighbor outside, so went over there and asked if he knew what had happened. Rob saw the guy fall from 80’.
This is hearsay, but please pray for the tree guy, anyway, along with his wife. Apparently, the guy was breathing “off and on,” as well as in and out of consciousness. The ambulance took him to the nearby middleschool four blocks away, where there is a field large enough for a helicopter to airlift him…away.
I seriously regret the comment in my previous post about a falling limb. The man and his family need prayers. Thank you.

I JUST FOUND OUT THAT A RELATIVE FROM BATTLE CREEK DIED AFTER FALLING OUT OF A TREE. DAVID AND AMY HAD A DAUGHTER NAMED BRITTANY. DO YOU KNOW ANY MORE DETAILS OR LAST NAME? BULLENS? HE IS THE NEPHEW-N-LAW OF MY HUSBAND, GOOD HEARTED CHRISTIAN MAN OF ~ 35-40. I AM AT A LOSS AS TO “WHY?” THOUGH INTELLECTUALLY I KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT TO QUESTION WHY GOD ALLOWS TRAGIC EVENTS TO OCCUR.

And I think it’s fine to yell and scream at God, especially in tragic events… until we finally sob in His comforting arms.

AMY IS TAN AND THIN; SHE GREW UP STRICT UNITED PENECOSTAL AND WEARS A DRESS, HAIR UP AND NO MAKE-UP. I DO NOT KNOW IF SHE IS FOLLOWING “NO MAKE-UP” RULES NOW. I LAST SAW THEM IN MARCH AT THE FUNERAL OF MY MOTHER-N-LAW AND HER GRANDMOTHER WHOM SHE WAS VERY FOND OF.
HONESTLY, HIS CHARACTER WAS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT YOU IMMEDIATELY FELT AT EASE WITH/TRUSTED/GOOD HUMORED/HAPPY/POSITIVE ATTITUDE, WAS A VERY HARD WORKER AND A JACK OF ALL TRADES.
